West Elm Street is now open to traffic in both directions from Bentley Road to Spring Street, according to Bryan Lloyd, assistant village administrator.

"Paving occurred on Friday. Later this week, Hohenbrink Excavating will finish its clean up of equipment and parts," Lloyd said.

"Some delays could be expected but Elm Street will remain open," adding that the Mennonite Memorial Home, 410 W. Elm St., is accesable to its front entrance from both Spring and Bentley.

Construction is now complete until next spring.

Even so, some area residents have received letters making that claim

Here's a scam alert from the Bluffton police deparment, according to Matt Oglesbee, lieutenant.

"The Bluffton Police Department has received information that residents have been receiving letters in the mail stating that we are soliciting money to help fight terrorism. 

"This letter is NOT from the police department and we are not asking anyone to send money to an organization on our behalf. 

"If you have received one of these mailers, please do not send money as it is not something that we are sponsoring or even aware of."
