The Bluffton University Nutrition Association’s annual spaghetti dinner to benefit the Lima-based Churches United Food Pantry (C.U.P.) will be held from 5-7 p.m. Friday, Nov. 7, at First Mennonite Church, 101 S. Jackson St., Bluffton.

Nonperishable food items will be accepted, as will cash and checks made payable to C.U.P. In addition to spaghetti, the menu for the dinner includes bread, salad, dessert and refreshments.

There will be no community meal on Thursday, Nov. 6, because of scheduling difficulties. The next community meal at Bluffton Senior Center is Thursday, Nov. 20, at 6 p.m.

Bluffton fire and EMS responded on a field fire at 9645 Columbus Grove Road (northwest corner of Grove and Tom Fett) at approximately 1 p.m. on Nov. 3.The field already had corn removed. A dozen cattle in the field seemed unfazed by the smoke and flames.

Luginbill Family Farm, 14162 Road 3, Pandora, is taking orders for Thanksgiving turkeys, according to Gary Luginbill.
