Attention kids: 10 a.m. to noon, Saturday, in the First National Bank lobby. It's your last chance to talk with Santa Claus in Bluffton this season. Santa's visit is compliments of the Bluffton Area Chamber of Commerce.  Tell your parents that a photographer from Greg's Pharmacy will also be to take photos of you talking with Santa. 

The year is fast drawing to a close, but the Internal Revenue Service wants taxpayers to know that they still have time to take action for the 2013 tax year. The IRS offers eight year-end tax moves and three additional tips that will help make things a bit easier come tax return filing season early next year.

The Bluffton University Track and Field team opened its 2013-14 campaign at the University of Findlay Oiler Open on Friday and Saturday, December 6 and 7. In a field of predominately Division I and II schools, the Beavers captured two event wins, set personal and school records and met the qualifying standards in several events for the HCAC Indoor Championship to be held in late February.

Bluffton Center for Entrepreneurs has announced prize money and seminar dates its 2014 Ropp Triplett Business Plan Competition.

First place prize is $5,000 in business start-up costs and a one-year BCE client program membership. Second place is $1,000 in start-up costs and a one-year BCE client program membership. Third place is a one-year BCE client program membership.

To order a pie, call MMH at 419-358-1015 by Friday, Dec. 20. Fresh pies can be picked up at MMH on Dec. 21, 23, 24, 26 and 27 between 8 a.m. and 5 p.m. Only 25 pies will be sold so individuals interested are encouraged to call soon.

Webb Insurance, 138 N. Main St., is the third place winner in this seaon's Bluffton chamber downtown window holiday decorating contest. Judging was by business owners. First place was Town and Country Flowers and second place was Curling Iron.
