A five-year fiscal forecast will be presented to the Bluffton school board on Monday, October Bluffton school board meeting. The forecast, a state requirement, covers 2014 to 2020.

Several contracts will be acted upon. In addition, upon board approval, Emily Goldsberry will be named to a seven-year term on the Bluffton Public Library board. The open spot is from Jan. 1, 2014 to Dec. 31, 2020.

Ray L. Burkholder, 96 of Pandora, retired farmer, and renowned National Weather Service observer died Thursday, Oct. 17, 2013, at the Hilty Memorial Home, Pandora.
He was born July 3, 1917, in rural Pandora to the late Christian C. and Bertha (Zuercher) Burkholder. Following the death of his mother in 1921 Ray resided with his paternal uncle and aunt, Amos and Katie Burkholder, until his father’s marriage to Irma (Foltz) in 1925.
