The Bluffton Child Development Center, 325 County Line Road, has two immediate needs, according to Lauren Osting, director.
First, the Center is in desperate need of subs. “I need subs willing to work flexible hours anywhere from 6 a.m. to 6 p.m.," said Osting.
“One additional need we have at the Center is the need for a sponsor for our 3-year-old classroom. For $500 a business, group, individual or organization can become sponsor for the classroom. During the school year the sponsorship provides the room with supplies,” She said.
Northwest Physical Therapy, Inc. will be offering free therapy screens to the public during the month of October. These screens will be available at all four outpatient locations in Bluffton, Delphos, Ottawa and Lima.
A physical therapy screening takes approximately 10-15 minutes and will be performed by a licensed clinician. A therapy screening helps identify issues that may be causing unnecessary pain.
Dick Boehr was concerned that many of the gravestones in Bluffton’s oldest cemetery were no longer standing and he wanted to do something about it.
Along with Fred Rodabaugh, Boehr proposed to improve the old Shannon Cemetery along Jefferson Street near Riley Creek. The improvement will change the cemetery to the Shannon Cemetery Park.
“With the help of the Boy Scouts, Bluffton American Legion Post and village council, we hope to convert the cemetery, which is in disrepair, into an appealing entry to Bluffton,” he said.
