The Bluffton University baseball team capped off its record-breaking 2013 season with seven Beavers earning All-Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference honors for their play this season.
Kyle Niermann (Napoleon) earned his third straight First Team accolade after being named Second Team All-HCAC as a freshman. Fellow seniors Miles Richardson (Granville/Newark Catholic) and Greg Franks (Smithville) were both selected Second Team All-HCAC.
The next community meal is at 6 p.m., Thursday, May 16, at the Bluffton Senior Citizens Center. The Bluffton Presbyterian Church will provide the free meal, which is open to the public. The final Bluffton Area Chamber of Commerce breakfast of the 2012-13 season is Friday, June 14. Bluffton resident Cameron Warner, deputy district director for Congressman Jim Jordan (4th district), is the speaker.
A free breakfast will be served from 7 to 7:30 a.m. The meeting starts at 7:30 a.m. and is held in the third floor of the Bluffton town hall.
Following breakfast at 8:45 a.m. will be a workshop presented by Beth Boehr using “The Essential Guidebook for Entrepreneurs.” The workshop is co-sponsored by the Bluffton chamber and Bluffton Center for Entrepreneurs.

What’s your favorite subject?
Jonah: Math. I like it. James: Math. I like to play with a whole bunch of numbers. Micah: Lunch. I like to eat food. Ian: Gym. I like to work out.
Motorists who refuse to wear their seat belts – beware. The 2013 national Click It or Ticket seat belt enforcement mobilization runs from May 20 to June 2 to help save lives by cracking down on those who don’t buckle up.
Bluffton Police Department is joining with other state and local law enforcement officers and highway safety advocates across the country to help save more lives by strongly enforcing seat belt laws around the clock.
