What year did you graduate from Bluffton High School and where did you live in Bluffton?
I'm a member of the BHS class of 1963 and I grew up at 113 E. Elm St.
You must have attended elementary in the old grade school building. What do you remember from that building?
Bluffton Center for Entrepreneurs is accepting entries in the first-ever Ropp Triplett Business Plan Competition, according to Denise Durenberger, BCE executive director.
Cash prizes will be awarded to the first three winners in the competition that honors the late Ropp Triplett, long-time Bluffton industrial leader and entrepreneur.
Marvin M. "Bud" Miller, 85, died at 5:48 p.m. Feb. 27, 2013, at Lima Memorial Health Systems. He was born on Aug. 25, 1927, in Lima, to Winson J. and Bernice L. Ackerman Miller, who have preceded him in death. On Nov. 4, 1951, he married Bernita L. Winget, who survives in Bluffton.
Mr. Miller served in the United States Army from 1945-47. He was a lifelong farmer, who also retired in 1983 from the Allen County Engineer's Office. He was a member of the Bluffton First United Methodist Church and the Farm Bureau. .
The Pandora United Methodist Church will be hosting a free community meal on Wednesday, March 27 from 5:30 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. in the church fellowship hall, 108 E. Washington Street, Pandora.
The meal this month is provided by Sprunger Insurance and will be spaghetti, bread stick, salad and dessert.
The churches of Pandora and Gilboa are offering food boxes for the month of March for households in the Pandora/Gilboa School District. The boxes are designed to provide nine meals for a family of four.
In order to pick up a box, you must register by 5 p.m. on Monday, March 25 by calling 419-384-3905.
Boxes will be available for pickup on Saturday, March 30 at 11 a.m. at the Pandora United Methodist Church located on State Route 12.
