Here's a photo indentified only as "County Champions" BHS 108 ------ 30. We take this to mean a Bluffton football team in 1904 was the best squad in Allen County, scoring 108 points and having only 30 points scored on them. We don't know how many games they played or who were their opponents.

For example, if they played five games, they averaged 21.6 points (three touchdowns per game) against only 1 for their opponents.

Beginning Friday, Jan. 25, area families will be encouraged to add fruits and vegetables to the daily menu, limit screen time and add physical activity as part of the 5-2-1-Almost None Family Challenge sponsored by BFR.

This challenge is part of the annual Keeping Active Wellness campaign that begins Jan. 21.  The 5-2-1-Almost None program has been offered through schools and communities by the "Let's Go" organization.

The Bluffton Public Library will hold a book discussion about The Language of Flowers, a novel by Vanessa Diffenbaugh. The discussion will take place from noon to 1:30 p.m. on Wednesday, Feb. 6, in the library’s second floor board room.

The book has been chosen to coordinate with Ms. Diffenbaugh’s upcoming CommunityREAD public appearance in Findlay. She will be speaking at 7 p.m. on March 15th at Winebrenner Auditorium.
