At the January 14 Bluffton Area Chamber of Commerce meeting, board treasurer Tony Pinks served as emcee and welcomed new member Jazzercize Bluffton, a franchise owned by Chase Eikenbary. This "pillar of light" was seen by area residents on January 10 and beautifully photographed by P. Rae Staton on SR 235 between Bluffton and Ada. The phenomenon occurs when light at ground level is refracted by ice crystals suspended in the air. Cold, still conditions are required.

Thaddeus Mittendorf, a Bradley student majoring in Accounting from Bluffton, OH, has been named to the Fall 2021 Dean's List. To be eligible for the Dean's List, a student must achieve a minimum 3.5 grade point average for the semester on a 4.0 scale.
