Ray A. Graves, 83, passed away peacefully on Saturday, July 17, 2021 at his residence. Ray was born on January 15, 1938 in Vinton County near Ray, Ohio to the late Otis and Clara (Thacker) Graves.

Ray is survived by his wife of 44 years, Linda (Parish) Graves of Pandora; two sons, David (Karen) Graves of Mansfield, Ohio, Tim Graves of Colorado Springs, Colorado; a grandson, David Sean Graves of Colorado Springs, a sister Joanne (Larry) Stevens of Chillicothe, Ohio; a brother, Claude (Georgene) Graves of Blacklick, Ohio and a sister-in-law, Julie Huwer Graves of St Mary’s, Ohio.

Agenda includes a review of contracts and assignments

Bluffton school board will review its "Service Fund" at the July 19 meeting.

In addition, the board will act on appointing Paula Parish, treasurer, Wesley Klinger, board president, and Greg Denecker, superintendent, to the Records Commission for the 2021-2022 school year.

The board will also review several contracts and assignments, including changes in hours, new classified employees, supplemental contracts, classified substitutes, and substitute teachers.

The Village of Bluffton Planning Commission plans to meet on Tuesday, July 20 at 5:00 p.m. on the third floor of the Town Hall. The meeting will serve as a pre-application conference for a potential major subdivision off of Sunset Drive.

Esther M. Spar, 97 died July 16, 2021 at Otterbein-Cridersville Nursing Home. She was born November 12, 1923 in Beaverdam to the late Walter M. and Luella M. (Steiner) Hochstettler. On July 19, 1945, she married Donald D. Spar and he passed away September 3, 2019.

Esther was a graduate of Beaverdam High School and was a homemaker. She was a member of the First Evangelical and Reformed Church where she participated in the Builder's Class and sang in the choir.
