How many business owners – large or small, established or start-up – might like to discuss ideas for growth in a confidential setting with their peers?
The “think tank” idea, a project of Bluffton Center for Entrepreneurs, offers that option to businesses in Bluffton and surrounding communities. Earlier this week, BCE held its fifth think tank.
Donavon Jan Conrad died on Oct. 22, 2014, at his home in Findlay. He was born on April 28, 1938, in Bluffton to the late Donavon Burdette and Ruth Lucille (Dally) Conrad.
He is survived by his wife Leona of 53 years. He is also survived by his three children and their spouses; Jon Randall (Lorie) of Mountain View, Wy., Canda Sue (John) Rooney of Sedona, Ariz., and Michael Eric of Grand Blanc, Mich. He is also survived by 12 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren; his sister Sharon (Bill) Locke of Bluffton; nieces and a nephew.
Mariah Faith Fleming and Gregory A. Short united were married October 15th at St. John's United Church of Christ, Bluffton.
She wore a ivory, empire beaded waist, ruched mermaid silhouette style,
strapless gown. She wore a flower crown of mini white roses and baby's breath
and carried a bouquet of white roses, baby's breath, white Peruvian lilies
and lush greens.
Mariah is the daughter of Jeremy Fleming, of Bluffton and Jeff and Jodi
Holtgreven of Van Buren, Ohio. She is a 2010 graduate of Bluffton High
School.
Tickets are available for the next performance in the 2014-15 Bluffton University Artist Series, by the Palace Theatre Big Band at 7:30 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 23, in Yoder Recital Hall.
Bluffton's Chase bank was the scene of a robbery this morning (Oct. 21). A statement from Rick Skilliter, Bluffton police chief, explains that a suspect has been arrested.
Skilliter's report follows:
At 8:56 a.m. today a lone white male entered the Chase Bank, 135 S. Main St., Bluffton, and presented tellers with a note that threatened an explosion if his demand for money was not met. A teller complied with the demand and turned over an undisclosed amount of money. The man fled from the bank.
