MEDIA RELEASE__The following high school students from Bluffton have been recognized by the Apollo Career Center for academic excellence during the final quarter of the 2025-2026 school year.
Final operation testing at the Bluffton Community Pool, 205 Snider Rd., has revealed three cracked 8” supply lines near the sand filters. The Village of Bluffton hopes to open the pool on Sunday, May 31, following a repair that includes honing the fittings with the correct tolerances.
The cracks were hidden, suggesting that gaskets only needed to be replaced. If the repair doesn't work, the sand filters will need to be replaced.
With the stirring sounds of the Bluffton High School Marching Band, the May 25 Bluffton Memorial Day Parade drew local residents from Town Hall, along Main and Grove streets to ceremonies at Maple Grove Cemetery.
Coordinated by Bluffton American Legion Post 382, the annual event had an excellent turnout on a mild and foggy morning. When two fighter jets performed a flyover at 10:30 a.m., they could be heard but not seen.

MEDIA RELEASE__Free Summer Play Dates will begin on June 1 at the Jenera Park, 18800 State Route 698, south of Jenera, and will continue through the summer months. Bring your kids/grandkids--both big and small, and join us at 9:30 on the 1st and 3rd Mondays in June, July and August. Come when you can and stay as long as you are able. FROM FACEBOOK_Bluffton University has announced its summer program through the Sauder Visual Arts Center. Registration is now open for Summer Mud 2026.
The program is designed for all skill levels, ages 14 years, in the ninth grade or above. The class specializes in functional stoneware pottery with instruction available Monday through Thursday from 6:30 - 9:00 p.m. The studio will be open for individual work daily from 7 a.m. - 11 p.m.
FINDLAY__The Bluffton High School girls track and field team finished second and the boys came in a strong fourth at the 14-team Div. IV northwest district meet in Findlay on Wednesday and Friday, May 22.
Bluffton sophomore William Hoover was named honorable mention All-Northwest Conference in voting conducted by the league baseball coaches recently.
Chayse Overholt of league champion Lincolnview was named NWC Player of the Year. Lancer mentor Eric Fishpaw was named NWC Coach of the Year by his peers.
Lincolnview won the league title with a 7-0 record. Allen East and LCC tied for second at 5-2. Bluffton ended up seventh in the eight-team league at 1-6, ahead of Delphos Jefferson (0-7).
