Meet 13 superior eighth grade scientists
13 SUPERIOR SCIENTISTS
The annual Bluffton Middle School Science Fair was held on Jan. 21. There were 23 students presenting projects with 13 receiving a score of superior. Fifteen judges took the time to review these 23 projects, including teachers, retired teachers, engineers, doctors and professors. The students scoring superior have the opportunity to compete at District Science Fair at Ohio Northern University on March 13. They will be competing with approximately 200 of the best projects from an eight-county region.

11 Courtney Barnett - Which reaction time is faster, sight or sound?
12 Samantha Rhonemus - The effect of salt water on plants
13 Jill Steinmetz - Will a teenager's lung capacity improve from performing intense training for one month? (Perfect Score of 40)
