Reminder of 1899 Depot move and refurbishment by Bluffton Sportsmen's Club
A large stone with this inscription now marks the 405 N. Spring St. location of the 1899 Depot that has served as clubhouse for the Bluffton Sportsmen's Club since being moved in 1985-1986: "Kenny Moser and Walt Carroll worked with the Norfolk & Western R.R. to donate and transfer ownership of the Depot from Railroad St. to this location. Charlie Swank and Roger Edwards worked to move the Depot along with many Club members who worked to refurbish and complete it. Jim Herrmann and Wilbur Bracy spent every day tending to the needs of the Depot from maintenance to repair. This was indeed a true labor of love for many Club members."
