Polished and Boutique 415 are collecting donations for tornado victims. The first trailer load goes on Thursday evening and the next on Saturday evening. Items collected include water, diapers, Clorox, baby wipes, snacks, toilet paper, Kleenex and paper towels. "We will take this to a designated drop off for the Red Cross. They will tell us what they would like to be collected going forward and we will update people," said Joan Frederick.
D. Miriam Rumsey died on Saturday, May 25, 2019. Miriam was born in Lafayette, Ohio, on Dec. 21, 1925, to Warren and Lelah (Stanyer) Knoble who are deceased. She married Roy Rumsey on June 21, 1946, and he died on June 1, 1985.

Kyle Leatherman, Bluffton middle school principal, announced his resignation from the Bluffton Schools, effective this summer.
He has accepted a position as principal of Liberty Benton Middle School, starting on Aug. 1. Prior to coming to Bluffton, he was a teacher at Gibsonburg from 2007 to 2013. He is a Heidelberg College graduate and obtained his principal licensure in Education from the University of Findlay.
“This is a family decision,” he told the Icon. “My family lives in the Liberty Benton school district.”
