At the July meetings of the Richland Township Board of Trustees, three new Zoning officials were appointed (see below) and the board accepted the resignation of the Roads Superintendent and Zoning Inspector. The Township is now accepting resumes for a full-time Roads Superintendent and a part-time Zoning Inspector.

MEDIA RELEASE__The Bluffton community is invited to come out and see the 2026 BHS Soccer teams for the first time, watch some of your favorite former student-athletes in action, and support the Bluffton Food Pantry.
On Saturday, August 8, the annual alumni games for the Bluffton High School girls and boys soccer teams will take place at Steinmetz Field.
All former BHS players are invited to play. This year, the boys’ game will be at 5:00 p.m., and the girls will be playing at 7:00 p.m. Alumni should wear red for the game.
MEDIA RELEASE__The Bluffton Ohio Historical Society invites everybody to visit downtown Bluffton for the fourth annual History Day this Saturday between 10:00 a.m. and 1:00 p.m. Chicken BBQ dinners will be available with advance purchase at the Bluffton Presbyterian Church, located at the corner of Main and Cherry Streets, from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.

Local and regional performers are preparing for Bluffton's Play Music on the Porch Day (a.k.a. PorchFest) on August 29. This worldwide movement encourages people to spend the day outdoors, visiting with neighbors while playing or listening to music.

Bluffton's 12th annual National Night Out will be celebrated at the Community Pool, 205 Snider Rd., from 6:00-9:00 p.m. As a part of the event, there will be free admission to the pool all day.
Lieutenant Matt Oglesbee, who has coordinated the event from the start, notes that the traditional hot dogs, chips, drinks, and treats will be provided for those in attendance. National Night Out is designed to be a free activity for families and an opportunity to hang out with local safety services.
