BLUFFTON__The well-balanced Bluffton High School girls basketball team authored a 61-39 blowout victory over visiting Riverdale in a non-conference match on Saturday, January 24.
Four Pirate girls scored in double figures to pave the way to a lopsided victory.
Lauren Dearth pumped in two treys and eight points to help shoot Bluffton to an 18-5 lead after the first quarter, and the Pirates were never threatened.

FROM BLUFFTON OHIO POLICE FACEBOOK, APPROX. 7 P.M. JANUARY 25__With the amount of snow that has fallen, Village of Bluffton snow emergency procedures will be followed.
1.) Please do not park on Main St in the business district so the snow can be safely removed.
2.) If you live in a cul-de-sac, please move vehicles into driveways so plows can access the streets. With vehicles parked on streets, plow drivers cannot get down the streets to effectively clear them.
FROM FACEBOOK__Due to the Winter Storm Warning issued for Allen County, all Johnny Appleseed Park District parks will be closed today, Sunday, January 25, 2026.
This closure is in place for the safety of both visitors and staff. Park gates will remain locked until crews can safely begin clearing parking lots, trails, and other areas.

VAN BUREN__The Bluffton High School wrestling team finished a strong seventh out of 35 teams at the two-day Van Buren Invitational on Saturday, January 24.
The Pirates scored 111 points at the event, just one behind sixth-place Paulding. Woodmore won the tournament with 248 points. Delta edged Liberty Center for second place, 200.5-194. Allen East came in fifth with 130.
