On Friday, May 22, the Bluffton Police Department assisted the Ohio SPCA in removing two dogs known to be aggressive from a residence on N. Lawn St. in Bluffton.
The Bluffton Police Department has stated, "Sgt. Hochstetler and Cpl. Rayle responded ... to assist in an animal complaint. The officers who responded were utilized to help create a safe environment for the other agencies, as they had a warrant to gain access to the property."

Final operation testing at the Bluffton Community Pool, 205 Snider Rd., has revealed three cracked 8” supply lines near the sand filters. The Village of Bluffton hopes to open the pool on Sunday, May 31, following a repair that includes honing the fittings with the correct tolerances.
The cracks were hidden, suggesting that gaskets only needed to be replaced. If the repair doesn't work, the sand filters will need to be replaced.
With the stirring sounds of the Bluffton High School Marching Band, the May 25 Bluffton Memorial Day Parade drew local residents from Town Hall, along Main and Grove streets to ceremonies at Maple Grove Cemetery.
Coordinated by Bluffton American Legion Post 382, the annual event had an excellent turnout on a mild and foggy morning. When two fighter jets performed a flyover at 10:30 a.m., they could be heard but not seen.
