The word ultra means extremely or to place something at a very high degree. Ultra is used to intensify a word. Adding ultra to words such as thin, light, or sensitive make them standout. If you were going hiking, you may appreciate an ultra-light backpack.
SEPT 4 MEDIA RELEASE__The Shawnee Township Police, in partnership with Apollo Career Center and Allen County EMA, will conduct a multi-agency, full-scale active shooter training drill on Sunday, September 7, 8:00 a.m.- 5:00 p.m. The high school is not in session.
As viewers of the Et Cetera Shop Facebook page recently learned (video HERE), volunteer Tim Byers has transformed the back entrance of the 327 N. Main thrift shop with the creation of a Volunteers Garden. Byers took a space that was bare gravel and filled it with several truck loads of compost and donated plants. "We had a ball with it. It's growing like crazy," he explains. Stay tuned for fall and winter displays as well.

The day after Labor Day 1985, a mere 40 years ago, I began my solo optometric practice in Bluffton. Boyd W. Travis, M.D., a physician, was most gracious to offer me the privilege to have a room in his office, located at 122 N Jackson St, across from the elementary school. Unfortunately, I do not have any photos from that era nor of Dr. Travis.
