And looks like lots of December events on school calendar

 It's parent-teacher conference week in Bluffton schools. Here's the schedule plus school news concerning events in December.

Elementary conference schedule
Monday - K-5, 5 to 8 p.m.
Tuesday - 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. and 5 to 8 p.m.
Wednesday-Thursday-Friday - no school

Do you remember the turkey you created prior to Thanksgiving when you were a Bluffton fourth grader. Here's a selection of this year's crop. The featured bird is the creation of Jaida Lamb.

Registration open now at BFR

Youth programming registration for Winter Session I is now underway at Bluffton Family Recreation, according to Daniel Tinch, executive director.

Session 1 runs from Monday, Nov. 26, through Friday, Dec. 21. Classes follow:

Mondays
Lil Movers, 5:30-6:15 p.m., ages 3-5
Lil Kickers, 4:30-5 p.m., ages 3+
Lil Kickers, 5:15-5:45 p.m., ages 6+

Kaitlin Barrett of Bluffton is the winner of the "where is the photo?" contest. The photo show a painting is in the main floor hallway facing the Jackson Street entrance of Bluffon High School. She wins two Shannon Theatre passes. Watch for a new contest coming soon.

Bluffton council has scheduled a special meeting for 7 p.m., Tuesday, Nov. 20, according to Jesse Blackburn, village administrator.

The meeting, in the third floor of the town hall is for the purpose to discuss personnel.

Load Lincoln Hall furniture donated to Habitat for Humanity

You can help Habitat for Humanity on Tuesday, Dec. 4 right here in Bluffton. 

At 9 a.m, volunteers needed to load furniture (45 desks, 35 hutches for those desks, 25 dressers and 12 bunk beds) at Lincoln Hall, Bluffton University campus. 

The furniture is being donated to the Lima Habitat for Humanity ReStore. The money raised from the resale of these items will help build affordable, decent homes in the Lima Area.
