Interviewed by Sophia Marcum

I caught Noah a few weeks after he raced in the National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics’ track and field nationals. We spent some time predicting the future and remembering the past.

Where are you now and what is your major?
I attend Indiana Wesleyan University (IWU) in Marion, Indiana. I am a double major in Business Marketing and Management.

Face-painting is an art appreciated by all ages. Teresa Van Oss paints a flower on the cheek of Janice Shafter, 83, of Vance Street Apartments. Waiting in line for her face to be painted is Joanna Harris, 86, of Mennonite Memorial Home. The face painting was part of Shirley's Gourmet Popcorn Company's Saturday birthday party for its namesake Shirley Torsell.

Two incoming students at Bluffton University have been awarded the university’s full-tuition Presidential Scholarship, valued at more than $110,000 for four years.

Katelyn Amstutz of Dalton, Ohio, and Edwin Martin of Goshen, Ind., are the scholarship recipients.

Amstutz, the daughter of Michael and Lisa Amstutz, was homeschooled, graduating this year. She has been active in tennis, the Heartland String Quartet and Science Olympiad. She attends Sonnenberg Mennonite Church, near Dalton.

Several Bluffton High School athletes were named  Northwest Conference Scholar Athletes for spring sports.

The criteria for this award are as follows:
1.  Must be a letter winner in the sport.
2.  Gold Level -- GPA of 3.5 - 4.0 during the season of the sport.
3.  Silver Level -- GPA of 3.0 - 3.49 during the season of the sport.

The Mustard Seed Cafe, Bluffton, will host a fundraiser on Father's Day. 

The event is held Sunday, June 21, from 5-8 p.m. by the Mustard Seed Café and Cavalier Distributing at the Mustard Seed Café at 562 N Main St., Bluffton.
