The Bluffton Senior Center will break tradition by holding its annual garage sale a few months earlier than usual. This year the sale will be held from 9 a.m. - 6 p.m. Friday, Feb. 27, and from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 28.
The change in date is to coincide with the S.H.A.N.N.O.N. Service Clubs annual community garage/craft sale and chicken barbecue also held in Friday and Saturday.
Blanchard Valley Health System (BVHS) is offering educational scholarships to individuals pursuing health care careers. BVHS associates, current college students and high school seniors entering college are eligible to apply.

Those who receive a BVHS scholarship may be required to make a commitment to the organization.

Pianist Alsbrooks Smilth will be performing during the 10:30 a.m. worship service at the Mount Cory United Methodist Church, 300 North Main Street, Mount Cory, on Sunday March 1. Smith is currently a pianoteacher in Findlay and a member of St Mark's United Methodist Church. The former college music professor travels around the state performing at many Methodist churches. The service will be led by Pastor Mark Fuerstenau and
is open to the public.
Heidi Farling of Curling Icon shaves Bluffton University baseball player Luke Hickey in the rite of spring haircut event on Feb. 25 in Marbeck. This the the fourth year that the baseball team shaved heads to raise funds for children's cancer research. Hickey from Toledo, plays midfield for the Beavers.
