The Old Route 69 Brewery, restaurant and entertainment complex first announced in February 2022 has come to life at 120 E Buckeye Ave. in Ada. On August 1, the venue officially opened with celebrations including Ada and Hardin County chambers as well as state and local government representatives.
On Saturday, August 9 the Bluffton Historical Society (BOHS) will recall the days when the Bluffton Sportsmen's Club building at Buckeye Park was a depot for the Lake Erie and Western Railroad (at a former location). The event will take place from 10:00 a.m.-1:00 p.m. at 405 N Spring St.
There will be displays of train artifacts and model trains, presentations and videos, activities for children, entertainment, food and two contests: the Reframing Bluffton History art contest and an "All Aboard!" calling contest (details below).

To date, fewer candidates than seats in Bluffton Council race

The filing deadline for nominating petitions by non-partisan candidates to appear on the November 4 General Election ballot in Ohio is 4:00 p.m. on August 6, 2025 (90 days before the General Election).
Write-in candidates must file declarations of intent by 4:00 p.m. on August 25.
To become a candidate, individuals must collect the designated number of valid voter signatures on the form designated by the Secretary of State and pay a $30 fee.
