One race into her collegiate career, Hannah Chappell-Dick of Bluffton has a lot to be happy about.
She won her first contest at Friday's Eastern Mennonite University Royals Invitational. On Tuesday, the freshman was named the Old Dominion Athletic Conference Athlete of the Week.

Peter Suter of Shannon Theatre announced that "The Odd Life of Timothy Green" (PG) and will be shown at the theatre from September 7-13.
Show times follow:
Each evening at 7 and 9:30 PM with Saturday and Sunday matinees at 1:30 and 4 PM.

Two Bluffton University football players were recently named Heartland Conference Players of the Week for their work on the gridiron Saturday.
Senior linebacker Joe Maldonado (Dade City, Fla./Zephyrhills) and kicker Austin Sweeney (Adrian, Mich./Whitmer) were recognized by the conference following Bluffton's season-opening 20-0 shutout of Kenyon College.

No problem with mosquitos in this back yard. Mr. Toad moved into The Icon's small pool recently and says he finds the food chain selections to his liking.

BFR Sports and Fitness unveiled its September-October programming guide to The Icon today. There are exercise options for all ages, including:
• Youth sports and movement programs
• Swim lessons
• Tennis lessons
• Family nights
• Training and conditioning
• Soccer leagues
