In an effort to help relieve some of the hardship and financial difficulty of the depressed economy in the Pandora and Gilboa area, the churches of Pandora and the Gilboa United Methodist are offering food boxes on the last Saturday of every month for households in the Pandora-Gilboa school district that find themselves in need.
The boxes are designed to provide nine meals (3 breakfasts, 3 lunches, and 3 dinners) for a family of four.
In order to pick-up a box for a household, you must register by 5 p.m. on Monday, Feb. 20, by calling 419-384-3905.
The Bluffton men's and women's track and field team competed in the Joe Banks Invitational on Saturday, Feb. 4, 2012, hosted by Ohio Northern University. The Beavers continue to make headway as they break and re-set school records and personal bests.
A spaghetti dinner will be served Friday, Feb. 24 from 4-6 p.m. at the Pandora United Methodist Church. The dinner will include spaghetti, garlic bread, salad, beverages, and dessert. Tickets are $6 each.
Tickets may be purchased at Riley Creek Pharmacy in Pandora or from Pandora United Methodist Youth. Proceeds will benefit the Mission Work Camp to White Oak, Tennessee, in June.

Citizens National Bank has named Stacy Lauer as Senior Vice President/Institutional Investor. In this position, Lauer will be responsible for monitoring the bank's investment portfolio and the development and administration of deposit pricing strategies.
Lauer received a bachelor's degree in mathematics from Bluffton University and an master's degree in in Economics from Bowling Green State University. She has been employed with CNB since 1994, working in the credit analysis department and later transitioning to her most recent position as SVP/Head of Information Technology.
