Police responded to a non-injury traffic crash at the intersection of College Ave. and S. Main Streets. Nathaniel Hursh, 17, Bluffton was issued a citation for failing to yield the right of way. The case is pending in Allen County Juvenile Court.

A Bern St. resident reported that unknown persons had flipped their riding lawnmower onto its top while it was sitting in the front yard.
Tickets remain available for the next performance in the 2011-12 Bluffton University Artist Series, by the Pridonoff Piano Duo at 7:30 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 26, in Yoder Recital Hall.
Elisabeth and Eugene Pridonoff, who formed the acclaimed duo in 1982, will bring their energetic and artistic styling to Bluffton. Each a professor of piano and artist-in-residence at the University of Cincinnati College-Conservatory of Music, they are often compared to the great husband-wife piano duos of Josef and Rosina Lhevinne and Vronsky and Babin.
Dr. George Lehman, the Howard Raid professor of business at Bluffton University, will address "How understanding the brain can change management practice" at 4 p.m. Friday, Jan. 13, in Stutzman Lecture Hall in Bluffton's Centennial Hall. The colloquium is free and open to the public.
It was the end of an era. It was the beginning of an era.
Monday's council meeting saw the departure of Fred Rodabaugh, who served as Bluffton mayor for the past 10 years and as a council member for 22 years. The meeting saw the swearing in of Eric Fulcomer as Bluffton's new mayor and of new council member, Joe Sehlhorst. Dennis Gallant was also sworn in to his reelected council term.
