Steve graduated from Bluffton High School in 2003. He married Elizabeth Knick (from Bath) and has a son and two daughters.
Did you go to college, and, if so, what was your degree?
I went to University of Northwestern Ohio (UNOH) and earned my Bachelors in Business Administration and Marketing, and started my master's in 2012 for Arts and Organizational Behavior. (That's a fancy way of saying how to create corporate culture.)
It's the Week of the Young Child, and Bluffton Child Development Center students celebrate. Something special takes place each day. Tuesday was Teddy Bear's tea. Student brought a teddy bear or other favorite stuffed friend. The tea was lemonade. Two students in the 4-year-old class show their stuffed friends.
(Well, when it comes to incorporating and eating more veggies in your diet…..YES!)
Spring is in the air….Well, kind of. LOL
It’s that wonderful time of year when we look forward to everything coming to life again. Flowers blooming. Gardens being planted. Grass growing (well, unless you don’t like mowing). The Board of Et Cetera Shop, Inc., invites the public to an open house at the Peerless Glove Factory, 327 N. Main St., Bluffton, on Friday, April 20, 4 p.m. to 6 p.m.
"Come and get a look at the old glove factory before it becomes the new location of the local Et Cetera Shop," said Arman Habegger, Et Cetera board chair.
"Renovation will not yet have begun, but we will have some illustrations of how the new store may appear. Some of you may have photos from the building’s earlier operation as a glove factory, and we would welcome seeing those."
It's April 17. Your taxes are paid, and what do you get? Snow. Here's an inside-the-car view of Main Street as it snows and visibility is questionable.
Dr. Jonathan Andreas, associate professor of economics, opened the Civic Engagement lecture at Bluffton University with a simple question: “What makes the world go round?”
“I’m an economist, and I am here to tell you that it is not money,” joked Andreas. Instead, Andreas believes notions of honor hold societies together. “Without some amount of honor, capitalism would fall apart.”
