This year's Blaze is Nov. 26 - theme is "Christmas around the world"

This year’s Blaze of Lights is fast approaching.

But, there’s still time to enter a float or parade unit in the parade that is one of the highlights of the event. This year’s Blaze, sponsored by the Bluffton Area Chamber of Commerce takes place on Saturday, Nov. 26, in downtown Bluffton.

May be the same woman who robbed the same bank last week

A Pandora woman, Nicole Shoopman, 26, was arrested and charged with aggravated robbery following a bank robbery in Lima on Monday.

According to Allen County sheriff deputies, Shoopman is believed to be the same woman who robbed the same bank last week.

Shoopman was expected to appear at a bond hearing Wednesday at Lima Municipal Court.

The robbery occurred at 3:30 p.m. Monday, Oct. 3, at Fifth Third Bank on Hardin Highway, Lima.

A witness provided a possible vehicle description and license plate number, Allen County Sheriff Chief Deputy Jimmy Everett said.
