Deadline October 1 / Prizes announced

MEDIA RELEASE__The Bluffton Area Chamber of Commerce (BACC) and the Bluffton Center for Entrepreneurs (BCE) invite photographers of all experience levels to showcase the beauty, character, and community spirit of Bluffton through the 2026 Bluffton Photo Competition.

There will be cash prizes for the top three photo selections. First place: $500, Second place: $300; Third place: $200. 

Deadline to submit to Bluffton's Photo Competition is this Thursday, October 1.

PANDORA__On September 25, Pandora-Gilboa High School honored the Homecoming Court. Pictured are King and Queen Grady Kempf and Emma Mangas. 

Homecoming court included Sophomore Ella Bowers, Senior Jayda Schnipke, Senior Laira Parkins, Junior Kaylee Luginbill, Freshman Anabelle Gerten, Sophomore Colton Mangas, Senior Caleb Doty, Senior Conner Gerten, Junior Ty Meyer, and Freshman Charlie Kempf.

Alumni kings and queens were also invited back to honor the 75th anniversary of Pandora and Gilboa joining schools.

The Village of Bluffton Council held its regular meeting on Monday, September 28, with Mayor Rich Johnson presiding. (See Council Packet for supporting materials)

ADMINISTRATION REPORT
Progress reports from Village Administrator Jesse Blackburn and Assistant Administrator Bryan Lloyd included the following items.

Cost is $13; make reservations by October 6.

FROM BSC HAPPENINGS__ The Bluffton Senior Center will hold it's monthly October meeting on Monday, October 12 at the Senior Center. Debbie Brennemann from Norwoods Cafe will cater the meal. The menu will be ham loaf, cheesy potatoes, green beans and dessert.

BLUFFTON__The Bluffton High School volleyball team defeated visiting non-league foe Wapakoneta in straight sets Monday evening.

The Pirate girls improved to 11-5 with the victory.

Wapakoneta fell to 9-6 after the defeat.
