“Toleration in the Reformation: Historical Reflections for Today”

Five hundred years after Martin Luther posted the 95 Theses on the doors of All Saints’ Church in Wittenberg, Germany, two narratives developed concerning Martin Luther’s influence on the emergence of modern tolerant societies.

An open house is planned to celebrate the 90th birthday of Barbara Koontz. The celebration is from 2 to 4 p.m., Saturday, Nov. 11, in Forest Park United Methodist Church, 315 S. Collins, Lima.

October provided the Bluffton area with a temperature range of 56 degrees, according to Guy Verhoff, Pandora weather observer.

October’s high temperature reading was 85 degrees on Oct. 3. The low was 29 on Oct. 26.

The average temperature this past October was 57.2 degrees, while the October normal average is 52.5.

October’s precipitation was 2.3 inches and the normal October precipitation is 2.68 inches.

Bridge Hospice holiday workshop

Bridge Hospice Bereavement Services will be offering a holiday memories wreath making workshop in both Findlay and Bowling Green.

The Findlay event will be held Tuesday, Nov. 28, from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. at the Brugeman Lodge at Riverbend Park, 16618 Township Road 208, Findlay.

The Bowling Green event will be held Wednesday, Nov. 29, from 4 to 7 p.m. at the Bowling Green Park Scout Building, 520 Conneaut Avenue, Bowling Green.

Wreath making is scheduled in half hour increments during event times.
