The Bluffton Hospital Auxiliary will host a Father’s Day pulled pork barbeque on Sunday, June 19, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the corner of Harmon Road and Garau Street, Bluffton.
The event will feature a pulled pork meal with two sides prepared by Todd Larson.
Tickets are $8 and are available from any Auxilian or at Bluffton Hospital, the Black Lab or Greg’s Pharmacy. Tickets must be purchased in advanced.
There's a new tree on Main Street. The Bluffton Area Chamber of Commerce planted a tree in the Bluffton Public Library lawn recognizing retiring chamber director Fred Steiner. The plaque reads: "In recognition of Fred Steiner’s commitment and years of service to the Bluffton Area Chamber of Commerce." Ima Jean Badertscher, 93, died June 4, 2016, at 7:05 a.m. at Mennonite Memorial Home, Bluffton. Ima Jean was born March 15, 1923, in Hancock County, Ohio, to Gilbert and Carrie (Gallant) Montgomery who preceded him in death. On Oct. 11, 1944 he married Leland Badertscher who survives.
Ima Jean retired from Triplett Corporation, Bluffton. She was a member of Riley Creek Baptist Church, Bluffton. She enjoyed camping, spending time with her grandchildren and was a graduate of Mt. Cory High School.
