Vintage costume jewelry is on exhibit this month in the display case of the Bluffton Public Library. It represents collections from the communtiy.

What's on your Saturday morning schedule? We suggest a visit to the town hall third floor. It will put a little art in your life.

The art students of Krysti’s Music Studio will present an art show from 10 a.m. to noon Saturday, April 11, on the third floor of the Bluffton town hall.

Students whose work will be represented include Brice Hogan, Kaelynn Holland and Danielle Novak. Teachers are Vickie Garmon and Abby Graber.

The event is free and open to the public. Students are to answer questions about their pieces. Light refreshments will be served.

There's three news items in this story.

• First: Don't you love the glare of the newly painted Bluffton High School basketball court?

• Second: It’s the third annual “Battle of the Badges” basketball game: Bluffton fire department vs. Bluffton police department.

The contest is at 2 p.m., Sunday, April 12, at Bluffton University’s Sommer Center. Admission is free. Donations are accepted at the door for the Bluffton Community Assistance Program. The police hold a 2-0 edge in this tightly-fought series.

Medication Disposal Day is Saturday April 11, from 9 a.m. to noon in Ada.

• Ada location: South Main Street and East College Avenue, parking lot between RiteAid and Northern on Main.

Enter off Main Street and exit onto College Avenue. Acceptable items include household generated pharmaceuticals, prescription drugs, liquid medications, household pet medications, medicated lotions and sunscreens.
