The Bluffton Senior Center will hold its June dinner meeting and game night on Monday, June 10 at 6 p.m.  The emcee will be Mary Hofstetter with hostess Deloris Herman.

The meal will be catered by Schnipke Inn and will consist of baked steak, mashed potatoes and gravy, mixed vegetables, cole slaw, dinner roll and strawberry short cake.  Tickets and $7 and must be purchased by Wednesday, June 5.

“Suzie” was among the first elders to move to Willow Ridge. Because of a stroke suffered five years earlier, Suzie had difficulty finding words, finishing thoughts and interacting with people. A few weeks after Suzie moved to Willow Ridge, she was enjoying the hearth room when she began speaking.

Dancers Elite of Bluffton will hold their 33rd annual recital on Friday, June 7 and Saturday, June 8.

Shows are held at Bluffton Middle School at 7 p.m. each evening.

Ticket price is $6, with ages 2 and under free.

The recital will feature students from Bluffton as well as Ada, Lima, Findlay, Arlington & Parkway.

Meet "Winston." Or, if you've visited Bluffton Veterinary Hospital and Pet Care Clinic, 70 State Route 103, you've probably already met this interesting feline. You'll usually find him in this pose at the reception desk.

A beautiful tenor voice floated out through the Maple Crest halls last Friday afternoon as Luis Torres led a hymn sing for residents. 

His wife, Pearl, accompanied the singers on the grand piano. Luis and Pearl, from Puerto Rico, are personally connected with Bluffton and with the Maple Crest community. 

In the 1940s, several Mennonite couples from Bluffton served under the Civilian Public Service program in a hospital in Puerto Rico and made an initial contact with Luis’ church.
