Adventure Camp – ages 3 to 6
Thursdays from 10 to 11:30 a.m.

July 21 – Sports Galore
Aug. 11 – Time Capsule

Fun Fitness – for youth who completed K to 3rd grade
Monday-Tuesday-Wednesday, June 6-7-8
4 to 5:15 p.m. – snacks included

There’s American Idol and then there’s Bluffton Eighth Grade Idol.

And the final round of the Bluffton contest was Friday with a packed house of middle school students cheering on their friends as four final contestants competed.

Courtney McLaughlin came out on top with her performance of “Set Fire to the Rain,” by Adele.

Other finalists were Sean Casemier who performed “See You Tonight,” by Scottie Mccreery.

Damien Amsler performed “Come as You Are,” by Nirvana.

BLUFFTON, Ohio - Bluffton University’s Alumni Field at Salzman Stadium was the scene of the HCAC Outdoor Track & Field Conference Championship Friday and Saturday, April 29-30. Playing host for the first time in over a decade, the Beavers took pride in competing on home turf as they “put the hammer down.”

Bluffton council will act on nine pieces of legislation Monday covering everything from surcharges on water and sewers, Shannon Cemetery, Bluffton Airport, garbage and refuse service and pay rates.

Copies of the ordinances involved are part of the council packet, which is an attachment at the bottom of this story.

In other action, Jamie Mehaffie, village administrator, will provide updates on the village west side interceptor and waste water treatment plan project. Bids will go out on May 4 with bid openings May 27.

Bluffton store and University Women’s Circle group help Hope House

Great things can happen when people come together to help people within their own community get back on their feet. During the month of March, Ten Thousand Villages in Bluffton, along with Bluffton University’s Women’s Circle group, collected eight large bags full of professional clothing for Hope House, women’s housing service in Findlay.
