A fellowship newly awarded to Bluffton University through the Council for Advancement and Support of Education (CASE) will help bolster the university’s Student Alumni Association.
The CASE ASAP (Affiliated Student Advancement Programs) Institutional Fellowship will support efforts to increase both student involvement and programs within the association, said Amy Byers, the group’s adviser and an associate in Bluffton’s alumni engagement office.
Bluffton University is joining a collaboration among Ohio’s private colleges and universities, beginning with a summer program designed to allow families to visit up to four private schools over two days, July 13 and 14.
Ohio’s Independent College Visit Days are aimed at helping families understand how affordable a private college education can be. The days also highlight other benefits of attending a private institution, including a higher four-year graduation rate and a lower default rate on student loans.
Gardeners of the Bluffton Pandora Area will tour the Ray Person Co-op Garden at 6:30 p.m., Tuesday, July 7.

Bluffton University has announced its dean’s list for the spring term. Students with a GPA of 3.6 or higher are eligible for the dean’s list. Students with a cumulative GPA of at least 3.75 based on 20 semester hours received distinction for continued high achievement, indicated by *.
Bridge Home Health & Hospice, a non-profit organization providing home health care and hospice services, will offer training courses for prospective volunteers in Bluffton and Findlay.
The Bluffton training course will begin Tuesday, July 14. The training will be held at Bluffton Hospital in the Second Floor Conference Room, 139 Garau Street, Bluffton, and will take place for six consecutive Tuesdays from 1 to 2:30 p.m.
