A spaghetti benefit meal is planned from 4 to 6:30 p.m., Saturday, Nov. 15, for former Bluffton resident Tim Bame. Tim, his wife, Julie, and their two children, Christian, 17, and Hillarie, 14, were Bluffton residents for seven years.

The benefit takes place at Southside Christian Church, 3300 S. Side Dr., Lima. Tickets are $10 per person. Persons interested in attending may RSVP on Facebook. (Tim Bame Spaghetti Dinner Benefit)

Bluffton kindergarteners in Heidi Steiner's class observed voting on Nov. 4. The class watched the steps involved in voting in the general election. The Bluffton voting location is in the Bluffton elementary building. Deb Beer, poll worker, watches the students.

Bluffton welcomes Icon viewers to a weekend Bluffton Downtown Christmas Open Houses. Nearly a dozen Main Street businesses offer special holiday sales. An attachment to this story provides more details and offers coupons.

The open houses vary from Thursday through Saturday. Each business has special hours listed below

Bluffton voter, Wayne Matter, signs his name to the list of voters in Precinct A on Tuesday. With him are precinct workers Mary Fett, Jeremy Scoles and Ron Lora. Voting continues until 7:30 p.m. tonight.

Lots of Halloweeners participated in BFR Sports and Fitness Halloween party in late October. Sixty-five contestants participated and a crowd of over 150 persons attended. Here are the costume winners, according to Carole Enneking.

Fall is here. Bluffton village crews are current sweeping leaves from curbs. According to Jamie Mehaffie, village administrator, “The crew starts on one side of town and works its way to the other before starting the process again. With both residents and mother nature providing ample piles of leaves over the past week, it can easily take a number of days to make one pass through town.”

Mehaffie provided the leaf pick up progress and several other matters to council members on Monday, Nov. 3.
