Mustard Seed Café opened for business March 22, 2013 in the old train depot at 562 N. Main St., Bluffton.  After serving thousands of meals and sharing many happy occasions with local and distant guests, the café would like to thank everyone for their enthusiastic support.

In celebration of this anniversary, the café will offer a dinner feature Friday and Saturday nights in addition to their regular menu:  Scallops & Shrimp in a Champagne Butter Sauce over Linguine.   Reservations are suggested; call 567-226-1120.

Sometimes, weird things happen when students work at the Marbeck Center desk.

“The weirdest thing that’s happened to me was when someone called about retirement communities around Bluffton,” junior Alexi Parsons, one of the students who works the desk and answer the university phone, said. “I didn’t know what to do, so I looked up retirement communities in Bluffton. I know other workers get strange calls, too.”

Bluffton eighth grader, Maddie Pitts, works on her flute solo. Many Bluffton junior high musicians will be in Elida on Saturday where they will compete in the junior high solo and ensemble contest. Georgia will be one of the musicians.

In Bluffton you may read the Bluffton Icon and drink it, too. Common Grounds' house blend carries the name Bluffton Icon.

And, now in Ada, you may read the Ada Icon and eat it, too. Bluffton resident Sherry Welch, employee of Northern on Main, Ada's coffee house, holds a tray of Ada's most popular bakery item - newly named the "Ada Icon cinnamon bun."

Naming of the bun commemorates the second anniversary of the Ada Icon's existence. It launched on the Ides of March in 2012.
