The Mad River Theater Works will present the musical drama "Anabel" at 7 p.m., Saturday, Oct. 27, in the sanctuary of First Mennonite Church.
The 45-minute musical drama is inspired by true events assembled to create a benefit performacne in honor Anabel Calderon. She is a Mexican-American who lives in Ohio; daughter of Mexican immigrants who travel to the U.S. in search of work.
Through the Mennonite Church and Habitat for Humanity she finds help and support. Mad River Theatre Works is based in West Liberty.
The Bluffton Lions will meet at noon, Tuesday, Oct. 16, in the Patio Room of Maple Crest. The program is a report on the Corvette raffle that took place on Sept. 29.
Ron Geiser provide The Icon with another view of the Bluffton old car parade from 1960. This view is from what is today Tu Pueblo looking south on Main Street. Notice the many changes to downtown.
