JUNE 6 MEDIA RELEASE__Many know about Bluffton University Musselman Library's extensive Mennonite archival collection, but many do not know we also have a collection of popular magazines dating back to the early 20th century.
During the summer, the library is dusting off a few titles and inviting the campus and Bluffton community to dive back into history and peruse some popular titles such as “Fortune,” “Better Homes and Garden,” “Life and Good Housekeeping” from the 1930s.
On Tuesday, June 3, 2025, Bluffton School Board held a special meeting to allow for public comment on the retire-rehire of High School Principal Mike Minnig. There were no visitors or public comments. The rehire date for Mining will be June 30, 2025.
During the meeting, Superintendent Greg Denecker made the following announcements. Jackie Bourassa will retire after 38 years of service on October 31, 2025. Natalie Armstrong will move to the social studies position and Krista Schomaeker will replace Natalie in Language Arts. Krista has been teaching at Ottoville. Jessica Parke will be teaching as a First Grade teacher and comes from Arcadia.
The next regular meeting of the Bluffton School Board is Monday, June 30 at 5:00 p.m.
JUNE 8 MEDIA RELEASE__A free concert featuring The 60’s Survivors Band with "Fun Music From The 60’s Decade” will be held on Friday, June 20 at the Pandora Community Center Gazebo.
This is the sixth year for this annual event.
The concert is scheduled for 7:00-9:00 p.m. with food trucks serving beginning at 5:30 p.m.

COLUMBUS – Bluffton senior Marek Donaldson won the 800-meter run in the Div. II OHSAA Track and Field State Tournament on Saturday, June 7, at Ohio State University in the Jesse Owens Memorial Stadium.
Donaldson crossed the finish line first in the 16-runner race with a time of 1:52.41, nosing out second-place London junior Cameron Carn by .06.
COMMUNITY MESSAGE (From Village of Bluffton Utility Bill)__The 2024 Consumer Confidence report on Bluffton drinking water quality is available on the Village of Bluffton website and as a paper copy at Bluffton Town Hall, 154 N. Main.
The report explains the source of Bluffton drinking water, potential sources of contamination and how to learn about health effects. The report also covers who needs to take special precautions with drinking water and how sampling is done to ensure safe drinking water.
FROM FACEBOOK__The 2nd Annual Dominic Francis Memorial Scholarship Bike & Jeep Run will be held on August 9. This event starts at the Bluffton Fallen Officer Memorial at Bluffton Town Hall, 154 N. Main, at 10:00 a.m. KSU (Kick Stands Up) at noon.
The cost to participate is $25 per bike/Jeep and $5 per rider.
The ride ends at Findlay Moose Lodge #698, where there will be food, 50/50 drawing and raffle items.
