This scene is way too cute to pass up. Here are the geese-in-residence at the small pond at The Center on North Main Street.

Bluffton's Memorial Day observation includes its traditional parade and ceremony at Maple Grove Cemetary.

Here's this year's schedule:
• Parade line up at 9:15 a.m. at town hall
• Parade starts at 9:30 a.m.
• Program at Maple Grove at 10 a.m.
• Chicken barbecue, CNB parking lot, 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. 
   (Persons are encouraged to purchase tickets in advance. Tickets are on sale at the Bluffton Farmers' Market on May 24 or from any Legion member.)

Bluffton council's street and alley committee meeting set for Wednesday, May 14, is cancelled due to the problems at the town hall.

The purpose of the meeting is to review the revised village sidewalk ordinance.

The meeting date will be rescheduled during the Monday, May 19, council meeting. At this point, the council meeting is tentatively scheduled to take place in the Bluffton middle school, according to Jamie Mehaffie, village administrator.

The next Sunday buffet at Maple Crest Senior Living, Bluffton, is May 25, according to Daren Lee, director of Maple Crest.

The menu includes:
• Monterey Chicken with Salsa
• Beef and Noodles
• Mashed Potatoes
• Mixed Vegetables
• Dinner Rolls
• Strawberry Cream Pie
• Coffee and Iced Tea

The Bluffton town hall is closed today due to serious water damage received when a sprinkler head broke on the third floor on Tuesday evening.

A significant water leak on Tuesday evening has closed Bluffton's town hall indefinitely. This morning the building has a strong moldy smell as fans are set up through the structure drying it out.
