Mennonite Home Communities of Ohio (MHCO) will dedicate its new Willow Ridge campus on Sunday, Oct. 14. Details of the event are in the story on this page.

Mennonite Home Communities of Ohio (MHCO), Bluffton, will dedicate its new Willow Ridge campus, the first two Green House homes in Ohio, at 1 p.m., Sunday, Oct. 14. Dr. Bill Thomas, Ithaca, N.Y., The Green House Project founder, is the featured speaker.

The dedication takes place across from the Willow Ridge campus at Maple Crest Senior Living Village, 700 Maple Crest Court, and is open to the public.

The Oct. 14 dedication schedule follows:

15 minutes with Kylee Burkholder from West Unity (Hilltop High School) Bluffton University student and member of the women's basketball team, number 42. Derek Woods, Icon intern conducted this interview.

What year are you at Bluffton University?
I'm a junior.

What is your major?
Public relations with a minor in marketing.

What was your summer job?
I was a receptionist at Anderson and Vreeland.

Kathy Fenstermaker, Lynn Coleman and Amy Roby are the September winners in the Bluffton merchants’ 3/50 drawing.

Each of the three receives eight different prizes, donated by several Bluffton merchants, according to Aphaphanh Nussbaum of Ten Thousand Villages, who is helping to direct the promotion.

Here's a scene we'll start seeing outside of Bluffton this month. Corn is just now coming off the fields. This field is on County Line Road near the Lincoln Highway south of Bluffton.
