The Friends of the Bluffton Public Library group is accepting donations for a spring book sale to be held from April 26 to April 30 at the public library, 145 S. Main St., Bluffton.

Hardbound and paperback books in good condition are being accepted for the sale, as well as original copies of audiovisual material (audio books on CD, compact disks and DVDs) that are in cases.

The Dough Hook, 117 N. Main St., Bluffton, has added Mel-O-Cream donuts to its pastry offering this spring. Sharon Calvelage of the Main Street meat market, deli and bakery, says that they are happy to offer the popular donuts and customers have appreciated the addition.

Several other new products are coming to the shop this spring.

The Dough Hook reminds Icon viewers that Easter will be here very soon. "Now's the time to order your Easter meats and baked goods," said Sharon. The Dough Hook is an Icon advertises.

Sally Siferd presents plaque to Robert Neff

Robert Neff of R.D. Neff and Associates, was honored by the Bluffton Area Chamber of Commerce for his five years of service on the chamber board. Sally Siferd, chamber president, presented Neff with a plaque for his years of service.

The recognition took place at the March 9 chamber breakfast in the town hall. Neff has served on the chamber board since 2007.

Jeremy Basinger

Jeremy Basinger, a Bluffton High School senior, is the February student of the month at BHS.

He carries 3.063 grade point average and participates in show choir, Beaverdam Bunch 4-H, and the St. John Mennonite Church leadership team. He has particpated in football and baseball at Bluffton High School. This past year he was named to the Northwest Conference second team as middle linebacker.

His plans beyond high school are undecided. He is the son of Jon and Janice Basinger, 4080 East Hook-Waltz Road, Elida.
