COLUMBUS – Two Bluffton High School boys and one relay team advanced to Saturday finals with strong day one showings in the 2025 Div. II OHSAA Track and Field State Tournament at The Ohio State’s Jesse Owens Memorial Stadium.
On Saturdays and Sundays this summer, Vine St. from Main to the alley behind Main St. businesses is closed for outdoor fun. Jazzercise Bluffton kicks things off at 8:00 a.m. Saturday with a free workout. Next, bring your family, bring your friends for a game of corn hole, giant Jenga, etc. Convertible tables and benches are also set up for an impromptu picnic, snack or board game.

Execuve Director, Johnny Appleseed Metropolitan Park District
There’s something timeless about summer in the parks—sunshine on the trails, the sound of kids laughing near the playgrounds, and the quiet joy of spending time together without screens or schedules. At the Metroparks, we’re proud to be the place where so many local families return year after year to reconnect and make memories.
UPDATE The petition location will be in the alley across from the Farmers Market.

This Saturday, June 7, voters will have an opportunity to sign a referendum petition for halting Ohio Senate Bill 1.
The nonpartisan petition will temporarily halt the implementation of the bill, which imposes academic and discriminatory mandates on Ohio’s public and private colleges universities, similar to the current national DEI restrictions at universities like Harvard.
Miley Russell of Pandora–Gilboa High School will receive a $2,000 scholarship from the Lima Memorial Auxiliary.
Each year, the Lima Memorial Auxiliary and LMH School of Nursing Alumnae Association award scholarships to local students who plan to pursue a career in the medical field. Seven outstanding students will be recognized this year and awarded scholarships at the Lima Memorial Auxiliary Summer General Meeting on Wednesday, June 11. These outstanding students will ultimately make a difference in many lives through their chosen healthcare profession.
