BLUFFTON - Host Bluffton whitewashed visiting Bath 2-0 in non-league boys soccer action Saturday afternoon.
The Pirates improved to 6-1 with their fourth straight victory. Three of those wins came via shutouts as Bluffton has outscored its opposition 20-1 during that span.
The game was scoreless at halftime, but Andrew Lovett tallied two minutes into the second half to give Bluffton a 1-0 lead.
Pirate Jonathan Schriner netted an insurance goal in the 65th minute to provide the final margin of victory.
H. Ellen McCullough, 80, died Sept. 5, 2019, at 10:50 p.m. at St. Rita's Ambulatory Care Center in Glandorf. Ellen was born Oct. 9, 1938, in Gilboa, Ohio to the late Cornelius Jay and Doris (Eck) Dearth. On October 10, 1934 she married Larry McCullough who survives in Gilboa.
Ellen graduated from Pandora-Gilboa High School in 1956. She had worked in various offices as an administrative assistant. Ellen was an active member of the Gilboa United Methodist Church and also the Red Hat Society.

When you hear a physician say that you or a loved one needs to be intubated or needs a tracheostomy, it is important to understand the purpose of these and how they differ.
A tracheostomy (trach) is a procedure in which a doctor surgically makes an incision in the trachea, sometimes called the “windpipe.” Tracheostomy procedures are performed when there is an obstruction in the airway and intubation is medically not possible, a patient has inefficient oxygen delivery or has problems with secretions.
Bluffton High School hasn't played neighboring Pandora-Gilboa HS in football for 54 seasons.

This is the first meeting between the Rockets and Pirates in over a half-century. The last meeting between the two neighboring schools was in 1965 when Bluffton won 40-7. Pandora-Gilboa left the Northwest Conference after that season.
