The singing duo “The Rough and Tumble” perform at 7 p.m., Thursday, Aug. 22, in the Bluffton Town Hall Concert Series.
The performers are Mallory Graham and Scott Tyler, from East Nashville, Tenn., and Black Mountain, N.C. Formed in 2011, they are described as stray folkies.
The duo has released five Eps and two albums. A new album, “Howling Back at the Wounded Dog,” will be released in September.
Bluffton Clean Up invites Icon viewers to the next “clean up” event.
According to Joy Stemen, it is at 6 p.m., Wednesday, Aug. 21.
“We plan to meet at the soccer fields in the back of the village park and work our way to the Sportsman’s Club at Buckeye Park. Depending on the water levels, we will be paddling, walking or wading. Likely all three,” she said.
“As always, we try to keep safety a priority, so dress accordingly and wear proper footwear. No bare feet,” she said.
The next Bluffton Cars and Coffee event is Saturday, Aug. 24, at Masterpiece Signs, 902 N. Main St.
The event is an “informal gathering for enthusiasts and their cars," said Tim Boutwell. The monthly cars and coffee event continues through October. It is always held on the fourth Saturday of the month.
Each event is from 8 a.m. to 11 a.m. on the following Saturdays: Aug. 24, Sept. 28 and Oct. 26.
