Tuesday evening Transition Bluffton program

Join Transition Bluffton and Jon Tuttle for a field presentation on small scale beekeeping.  We will meet Tuesday, June 18, at 7 p.m. at Little Riley Creek, Jon and Amanda’s organic farm.

The farm is located at 9255 Lugabill Road, about three miles south of Bluffton.  Tuttle will give a primer on beekeeping basics, including hive location and equipment.

There will be time for questions and answers.  This will be a good demonstration of how we can respond to the declining bee population throughout the country.

If you've driven on County Line Road south of the village park, you've noticed a new yellow stripe recently painted. As summer rolls on you'll see more and more road crews with yellow paint.

“I definitely think working here has helped me establish accountability, team work and conflict management skills,” said Schutz. It’s given me a peek into the future and has shown me how connecting with people and building relationships can propel you forward.”
