NFCA release

BLUFFTON, Ohio - Seniors Brittany Huff (Clayton/Northmont) and JOSIE MCELROY (Mt. Orab/Western Brown) have been named All-Central Region by the National Fastpitch Coaches Association (NFCA). Huff earned Second Team honors, while McElroy was selected Honorable Mention. It marks the ninth and tenth NFCA All-Region selections for the Beavers, including three straight years for McElroy!

Mennonite Home Communties of Ohio celebrate Older Americans Month

Mennonite Home Communities of Ohio (MHCO) is honoring its 420 employees during Older Americans Month, May 2018. 

With the theme, “You Are a Work of Heart,” MHCO is planning celebrations at Mennonite Memorial Home, Maple Crest, Willow Ridge and Mennonite Home Health & Senior Services, Bluffton, and Hilty Home in Pandora.

Students must be accompanied by a parent or guardian and bring a completed physical form. Physicals cost $25 payable by check or cash at the scheduled appointment.

Bluffton capped off its fourth 20-win season

Heartland Conference release

The Bluffton University baseball team reaped the benefits of its first trip to the Heartland Conference tournament when the All-HCAC awards were handed out on Tuesday, May 15.

Jacob Latkofsky (Temperance, Mich./Ida) was the Freshman of the Year, while fellow freshman Garrett O'Reilly (Galena/Orange) joined him on the First Team.

Junior Dante D'Andrea (Westerville/North) was a Second Team All-Heartland selection and Colin Gregory (Fremont/Clyde) secured Honorable Mention recognition.

Work continues on a major remodeling of Bluffton's McDonald's Restaurant on State Route 103.

On Tuesday and Wednesday the parking area received new pavement. It's part of a major remodel, which includes the entire outside of the restaurant and the dining room and bathrooms inside.
