A Tornado Watch has been issued for an area including Bluffton by the US National Weather Service Northern Indiana Office. This watch is in effect until 11 PM EDT on May 7. Severe storms are likely late this evening. The primary threats are large hail and tornadoes with isolated damaging winds possible.

Gail Ann Neff, 68, died May 6, 2024, peacefully at her residence with her family by her side. 

Michael Chanda Kingsley, 42, passed away on May 6, 2024 at his residence.  Arrangements are incomplete at Chiles-Laman Funeral & Cremation Services, Bluffton.

"Come ride with us," is the message from St. John's United Church of Christ, 223 W. College in Bluffton. Group bike rides beginning at 11:00 a.m. are scheduled monthly May-August on the following dates:

On May 4-5, the International Women’s Flag Football Association, Ada’s Wilson football factory, and the Inn at ONU, hosted a women’s and girls flag football tournament at Ohio Northern’s Dial-Roberson Stadium.
