9 hour music marathon supports work of Drugs Bring Death
EVENT IS SATURDAY FROM NOON TO 9 P.M. AT COMMON GROUNDS, BLUFFTON
Common Grounds Coffeehouse wants to get you grounded.
The shop at 101 S. Main St., will host its first-ever live music marathon benefit event from noon to 9 p.m., Saturday, Ded. 12, acccording to Phil Zimmerly of the coffeehouse.
The benefit features nine hours of live entertainment, with some of the area's most talented musicians.
The event will assist Brugs Bring Death, a non-profit organization launched earlier this year by one person in Lima holding a sign.
Drugs Bring Death is totally fundedthrough donations and fund raising events. A percentage of the proceeds from the Bluffton concert will go to DBD for its mission of helping others to receive rehab and drug treatment.
Drugs Brings Death's mission is to "preserve and improve the quility of life for all citizens of Lima, Allen County and the surrounding counties, by increasing public awareness of the harmful effects of drugs through education, public officials and the general public.
Persons may provide donations at the coffeehouse during the nine-hour event, or mail them to:
