Bluffton Primary Care, 161 Garau St., will host a community open house featuring Santa and Mrs. Claus on Monday, Dec. 4 from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m.
The community is invited to visit the newly renovated office and meet the physicians and care team.
A ribbon cutting ceremony will take place at 5:30 p.m. with the Bluffton Area Chamber of Commerce. Children who are visiting Santa and Mrs. Claus will receive a gift while supplies last.

Riley Creek United Methodist Church invites the community to its 46th annual Christmas carol sing on Sunday, Dec. 3, at 7:30 p.m.
"Like an old-fashioned songfest around the piano, the program will feature congregational singing of many traditional carols, as well as readings from Scripture about Jesus’ birth, special performances by the Pandora United Methodist Church Choir, Ottawa Saints Peter and Paul Choir, other musicians, and a candle lighting ceremony," said Rev. Duane Kemerley, pastor.
Mary Alice Hartman, 91, died Sunday, Nov. 19, 2017, at Mennonite Memorial Home, Bluffton.
Mary was born Oct. 13, 1926, in New Stark to Clyde and Anna (McAllister) Ream who preceded her in death. On June 1, 1947, she married Clyde Hartman who preceded her in death on July 14, 2012.

Several Bluffton High School fall athletes attained Northwest Conference Scholar Athlete status, according to Jim Raabe, NWC commissioner.
To qualify as an NWC Scholar Athlete a student must be a sport letter winner. Gold level students have a grade point average of 3.5 to 4.0 during the season. Silver level students have a grade point average of 3.0 to 3.49 during the season.

BLUFFTON, Ohio - Senior Macey Sheerer (Bucyrus) has been named the Heartland Conference Player of the Week following a stellar opening weekend in Chicago, Ill.
Sheerer hit 14-of-26 (53.8 percent), including 5-of-11 (45.5 percent) from distance, as the Beavers went 1-1 at the North Park Tip-Off Tournament. She led the Beavers to a 67-66 win over #7 Ohio Northern on Friday night. Sheerer averaged 19 PPG, 5.5 RPG and 3.0 assists per game for the Beavers.
